Project history: Shot in Edinburgh and Munich, and set in four countries and three languages this film highlights peoples fears regarding the turn of the century. With four narratives running concurrently, Scottish, Irish, Spanish and German PMT addresses fears and hopes within Christianity on the last night of the second millennium. PMT opened at the 1997 Edinburgh Film Festival and has screened at numerous international film festivals including The 1998 British Short Film Festival, London, The 1997 Kino Film Festival, Manchester, The 1999 Festival of Nations, Germany amongst others. PMT was screened by BBC2 in the spring of 1998. Described by The Scotsman as 'magnificent and ambitious' and by The List as 'a drama of genuine depth' PMT features the talents of Bill Murdoch (Gangs of New York), Rose McBain, and Blasi Wilfrid. |
Project history: Support the Minors a rites of passage piece. For most of their adolescence teenage boys think about nothing else but losing their virginity (and then running off and telling their mates about it). Project history: Horseradish is the surreal story of a London sandwich seller who descends into his own detached hell once the rigmarole of his everyday existence becomes too much. Shot over three days in London and Southend and directed by Evrim Sandal, horseradish has screened at many national and international film festivals. |
Project history: The Getting on with the Blues project is a joint initiative run in conjunction with Southend United Football Club, Southend on Sea LEA, Pro-Stream Marketing and Southend on Sea Primary Health Trust. The six lesson package has been developed by teachers and references specifically the Key Stage Two Citizenship curriculum. The three audio visual projects to be used in the scheme were produced by our media students and focused on social issues such as alcohol awareness, racism and anti-social behaviour, as well as the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. The Getting on the Blues scheme has already been running in over 200 schools throughout Essex since April and has already been delivered to over 10,000 pupils. |

Project history: The second project commissioned by Equipe Ecosse/ VII Music Limited, this promo accompanied the second release from Annie Christian's debut LP 'Twilight'. 'Kiss the day Goodbye' was shot over three days in Edinburgh and on a freezing North Sea coast, this promo features the group falling under the spell of a murderous ice goddess. Shot Anamorphic 35mm, using Kodak Gold Vision stock with post-production completed at The Mill, London. All exteriors were filmed at the Torness Nuclear Power Plant south of Edinburgh on a horrifically cold friday evening and interiors at the only slightly warmer Meadowbank Stadium, Edinburgh. |
Project history: Commissioned by Creation Records to accompany Glasgow band Toaster's debut release EP 'Craska Vegas'. This 20 minute drama was shot over three days in Glasgow and features all of the tracks from the EP. The central character, played by Jim Cunningham, receives a mysterious phone call informing him to be at a certain place at a certain time and not to worry about anything strange that may happen to him. He wakes the next morning to discover that he has turned bright blue. Shot in The Velvet Rooms, Glasgow and all over the city. Featuring Jim Cunningham, (Have you had yer hole!), Gary Mackenzie (The Acid House, The Match) and Victor Eadie (Trainspotting), 'This is Craska Vegas ' was rotated across many music channels and was featured in the acclaimed Mirrorball Showcase of the 1999 Edinburgh International film Festival. |

Project history: Commissioned by Campbell and Company Design Consultants, Edinburgh for The Pict Visitor Centre, Brechin, Angus.This ten minute documentary highlights the history of the Picts, the indigenous race of Scotland. This Super 16mm piece concentrates on the only remaining evidence of the Picts, the carved stones that are scattered across Scotland. Shot over a week, all over Scotland this documentary is on permanent exhibition in the Pict Visitor Centre. Shot on Kodak Vision Stock and with post-production completed at The Mill, London |
